American Idol: Gay Wonder Twin Powers Activate!

The American Idol audition round started with a bang and ended with a fizzle. Last night's Los Angeles auditions were a bust. Not to mention, it's not very exciting when the judges yell, "YOU'RE GOING TO HOLLYWOOD" when the contestants are already in Hollywood.

Ryan Seacrest said the auditions were "abysmal," and he was right. The producers' attempt to recreate "Pants on the Ground" with a homeless James Brown, was not funny, but uncomfortable, and they actually held MySpace auditions! Are the contestants going to post updates on LiveJournal instead of Twitter this year?

Tynisha Roches and the Gay Wonder Twins, Mark and Aaron Gutierrez were the only highlights of the show. Roches brought her own microphone and chased Randy Jackson around the studio after she refused to go home. Steven Tyler called the two brothers (not actually twins) version of Lean on Me "godlike," but what's with all the pairs this season?

There are the Awkward exes, Rob Bolin and Chelsee Oaks, the couple in love, Nick Fink and Jacqueline Dunford, and now the Wonder Twins! That's a lot of pairs for one season of Idol.

Hollywood Week is next! Here is a recap of who I'm going to be looking for:

Ashley Sullivan -- This year's Tatiana Del Toro.
Chris Medina and his paraplegic wife -- Please suck!
Emma Henry -- The 15-year-old who wasn't quite ready. Hollywood should swallow her up.
Miss Teen U.S.A. Stormi Henley -- My sleeper pick. I think she is going to slip through, although she isn't the greatest singer.
Molly DeWolf Swenson -- Very ambitious White House intern.
Adrienne Beasley -- Farm girl with white parents. Not only was her audition good, but her story isn't too overwhelming and heart warming.
John Wayne Schulz -- If I had to make an early pick based off what we were shown in the audition round, this would be my pick for the next American Idol.
Hollie Cavanagh -- Another likely candidate to crash and burn.
