Exclusive: Lyndsay Lohan's I KNOW WHO KILLED ME Costar Talks

I KNOW WHO KILLED ME is the much anticipated film from Lindsay Lohan. Yep, the one and only. The psycho thriller is about a young woman, played by Lohan, who claims to be someone else after escaping from a serial killer and appears to suffer from dual personalities. This is shaping up to be a top notch thriller, courtesy of director Chris Sivertson, who has worked on several of Lucky McKee’s films previously.

But the production has been plagued by rumors of Lohan’s consistently naughty behavior, on and off the set. Lindsay’s appendicitis and her subsequent infection is the official reason for the delay in production, not her rehab stint in January. “We never lost a day of shooting because of rehab”, says director Siverston in EW. The actress balanced her treatment schedule with 13 hour shooting days and drew from that experience to tackle the film’s dark themes.

Costar Michelle Page plays Gabrielle, who was attacked and sexually assaulted by the kidnapper later in the film. Page gave an exclusive interview to Horror Yearbook and agrees that the film was taxing stating, “It was a really intense, emotional role. The film definitely deals with the horror of sexual assault. My character is literally sobbing while telling the cops, and any type of role that requires that emotion, is emotionally and physically draining.”

Even Lohan had some initial reservations about the gruesome injuries her character suffers during the film. “I read that a limb was getting cut off and I was like, Can’t they rewrite that?” She even had to be buried alive at one point.

On Lohan, Page states, “I didn't have any scenes with Lindsay, but I was on set with her when I filmed. Her character is really intense. People assume she's gone crazy after being kidnapped, but is that the reality? At one moment, she's a sweet girl in high school; the next, she's a stripper. It's a twisted role with lots of highs and lows.” Page would not comment on Lohan’s behavior.

You can see Michelle Page making guest appearances on upcoming episodes of the TV shows “Cold Case”, “Bones”, and “Standoff.” She also starred in the horror film SUBLIME, already available on DVD.

The release date for I KNOW WHO KILLED ME is tentatively set for July 27th 2007.
