Kane West Beats 50 Cent

Does this mean an end to 50 Cent's solo career?

50 Cent announced a few weeks ago if his new album "Curtis," did not outsell Kane West's "Graduation," in the first week he would quit making solo albums.

Both albums were released Tuesday and the early results say Mr. Cent may be retiring at 32.

At Amoeba Music in Hollywood, store music buyer Kristen Frederick said: "For every 50 Cent CD we sell, we sell two Kanyes."

Some people are claiming that 50 Cent's war of words is just a publicity stunt, and if it was all a ploy it sure worked, as their "feud" landed both performers on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine's latest issue.

Amazon.com also claims that West is outselling Cent 2 to 1 and will be tracking their sales via a pie chart on its music page.

Maybe 50 Cent fans should start buying two albums if they ever want another solo album from him again.
