Alec Mapa (gay dude from Desperate Housewives) hosts this groundbreaking transgendered elimination dating show.

The transgender bachelorette, Calpernia Addams, is being wooed by eight handsome men. With the advice of her trans best friend Andrea combined with multiple challenges and dates, Calpernia will shave down her group of suitors until she finds her prince charming.

You vote on your LEAST favorite. The Dr. Phil look-alike is losing at the moment. I voted for the Dr. Drew look-alike.

My favorite so far is Barry the Southern Boy Entrepreneur.

I think it is great that Calpernia feels confident enough to be doing the show. Finding a compatable partner is hard these days without some outside help now and then. I wish her tons of luck finding the right person.

The intention was to find suitable male heterosexual bachelors looking for a woman. Calperina used to be a man and I believe the term is post-op transexual.

This is in response to the Feb. 20 comment by Molly. Calpernia was never a man. She had a male body for a while, but nature's mistake was surgically corrected. In mind, spirit, and soul, Calpernia has always been a woman. Sometimes people pretend to be a different gender, but one cannot make a boy into a girl or a girl into a boy. I would refer anyone interested in this subject to read "The Boy Who Was Raised As A Girl." I believe that anyone after reading this book will understand that it is the mind which tells us who we are and how to identify. Doctors can alter the body, but doctors cannot alter the mind. The mental health professions tried for many years, and they failed! The public unfortunately does not understand what it means to be transgender or a transsexual, and worse yet, the media loves to pretend that a person can become a different gender. It sells newspapers, magazines, and videos. I understand what a transsexual is and is not--I am one!
