I know some people may be upset that New York Magazine recreated Marilyn Monroe's The Last Sitting with Lindsay Lohan, but what is the big deal about one drugged-up airhead acting like another?
Plus it is a lot less disturbing for Lohan to be dressing up like Monroe than 8-year-old Elle Fanning.
The original "The Last Sitting" was shot in 1962 by photographer Bert Stern, it was the last photo shoot of Monroe before she was found dead of an overdose six weeks later. Hopefully Lohan doesn't end up with the same fate, kind of creepy huh?

Monroe was BEAUTIFUL. So can't Lohan do anything for herself but be a drug addict? Yes the boobs look fake and her poses look stiff.
Well this is quite pathetic. Those wigs are just so trashy. Even I might look better than Lindsay. Monroe did actually have beauty, but she was was weak and ended up just being a loser. If Lindsay wanted to be a star, she would stand on her own merits, if she has any. Why do women try to emulate past movie stars? You will never be like them, you can't be them, only they are themselves, and only you can be yourself. Only losers try to be something that they are not, and in the process forsake themselves.

Stars like this don't have time to find who they are anymore. She has been in movies since she was a little girl and at this point, every move she makes is followed by someone with a camera and put up on TMZ. How do you define who you are when everyone bases their opinion of you off of how you were in the process?

I can`t understand how in a world Bert Stern himself was willing to take this pictures! It´s not Lindsay`s fault, Stern is one to blame. He got a chance to see Monroe in a way she really was at that point of her life, he got a chance to see a Real Person, not just Marilyn. And now, with these cheap and ugly pictures he ruined the whole thing! I used to think Stern was talented, amazing...just wonderfull. My opinion has chanced: he was just LUCKY to get Monroe.
In Lindsay's defense, if you were offered the opportunity to have your photo taken by Bert Stern because he actually wanted to take your photo, I think you would take that opportunity as well! I am also glad she is comfortable enough with her body to take these untouched photos. For a while there it seemed as if she was on the brink of anorexia, but I think she looks great now! I don't think she is trying to be Marilyn Monroe. I think she knows exactly who she is, but she is also smart enough (as is Stern) to recognize that there are similarities between her and Monroe.
You negative people should probably go to nymag.com and read the actual article and look at the slideshow of the pictures. First of all, it is quite obvious in some of the pics that her breasts are not fake. The only thing I found unattractive were the amount of freckles she had from too much tanning. Also, I am a photographer and it is a lot of fun to do shoots like this, where you "recreate" other images or simply use them for inspiration.

Yes, her boobs look incredibly fake. If it werent for them, I would have seriously doubted she hit puberty due to serious her lack of curves. As for her skin tone- too many freckles. She should have spent less money on her breasts and more on removing the spots that are consuming her body.
She was a very poor choice of model to do the recreation of monroe's work. The pictures look unnatural and most definately unimpressive.
OK people... is that all we have to do is critique other people? GEEZ.. let the girl do the photo shoot for whatever her reasons. Why judge? If your telling me if I gave you a million dollars for you to pose and you told me you wouldn't you are a liar.. and i am quite sure half of you wouldn't even look half as good as Lohan did. Why are people so fast to judge and cut others down?? Other than that quit being jealous and let the girl do what she wants in this FREE country. and women when you put on your lingerie for your husbands with your wrinkled flawed fat body do you want him to say "who does she think she is look at this lady trying to be all sexy"

Whether the breasts are real or not, should not matter. I for one have no doubt that they are real, as I have the same body type as her.
They should have found someone who matched Monroe's figure closer, maybe Lohan would've been a good candidate back in her fuller days.
The wig was not well hidden in some pictures, but all in all the images are a good replication of the original. They may be less sexual and more still, and some may say artsy, but they are descent. Actually now that I think of it the only bad picture put online is the one you have put up. Before you judge, go to the actual website and see the rest of the pictures, then you'll agree that they aren't half bad.
Stop hating on the girl. Some opinions should just be kept to one's self, don't you think?

ok...so...her boobs definitely do not look fake at all...honestly who knows for sure if they are or aren't and who cares. These pictures are just recreations of the last sitting...she is not suppose to look exactly like marilyn nor is she suppose to be her. She is simply recreating art. Why be so negative and judge someone you have no clue about...i think she looks beautiful and she probably looks way better nude than half of you guys on here. another thing is that she has always had freckles...always! watch the parent trap. they are all over...so its probably not from tanning...she is comfortable enough to show her body and i respect her for that. why do people always have to be so negative and try to put people down because they can't do a better job. I was pretty shocked to find out that Bert Stern himself shot the Lohan pics (and to find that he's still alive!). His pictures of Marilyn aren't my favorites and he published *many* that she had "killed" - Marilyn had photo approval always - she placed Xs on the pictures she wanted destroyed and photographers were happy to do it for her because she was such a wonderful subject. One of the most photogenic women ever! Stern chose to publish so many "killed" pix (some she had even poked repeatedly with a pin), it's sad that those were the last ones and they weren't presented respectfully. And photographer George Barris claims that *he* took the very last photo of MM (that was a fun shoot - many of his pix can be found by Google Imaging Marilyn).
So I have no idea whose idea this was... LL doesn't look like MM at all but seems really very interested in aspects of Monroe's life - she even named her leggings line after Monroe's birth date. These seem, IMHO, more about the nudity and Lindsay wanting to be Marilyn, maybe? I'd love a real discussion. Marilyn's photos just seem more innocent to me. (And if they are trying to re-create a 1962 shoot, those pants aren't getting it done)
Marilyn did have freckles - lots! She wore body makeup almost all the time - ruined a few people's couches with it. She is very freckled in George Barris's pictures. Check then out if you're curious. There's a great website, type in "Everlasting Star" in a search engine and it should come up. They have an amazing collection there! You can go to the photo section and find specific photographers there and their pix of Marilyn. Many of the Stern and Barris shots are there(Including the fashion pix of Marilyn that Stern took - it was NOT a "nude shoot" - he just got her drunk enough IMHO to drop a sheet for a few shots). The fashion shots have been forgotten but are worth seeing. She's darling in so many of them.
