Gene Simmons' Sex Tape Illegal?

When a website announced they were selling memberships to watch the Gene Simmons' Sex Tape I thought something was dodgy, and speculated that Gene may have not known he was being taped and I was right.

Don't pat me on the back I already did it myself.

TMZ has learned that the tape is old and when Gene Simmons "caught wind of it" a few years ago he bought the rights to the tape, so the website may be in trouble for copyright infringement!

Gene's lawyers sent the website Webmastercentral.com a cease and desist, plus the tape may be illegal so you can almost bet the site will be disappearing, although at the time of this posting it is still up and running.
