They Should Replace The Dark Knight With Heath Ledger's Oscar Reel
The Associated Press is reporting that a farewell message that reads "In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe," will appear at the end credits of The Dark Knight in theaters July 18. If this is what is making the top of entertainment news, then I say they should can the actual movie, and just replace it with Heath's Oscar reel instead.
I am sure thousands of internet "critics" already have their reviews written for the movie, and no they have not see it yet. Who will have the balls to say Heath Ledger sucked? Trust me tons of people are waiting to be the first. Will Harry Knowles of Ain't He Fat News declare that Ledger deserves an Oscar? He probably already has, while reviewing the script and not the film.
July 18th will have the Blogsphere buzzing, message boards will be lit up, and I am sure Batman and friends will break box office records, but will anyone take the time to enjoy it for what it was meant to be; the ultimate popcorn flick?
I doubt it.
This will be the most heavily debated film of the year and in the middle of the debate is some dead guy, who happened to play one of the most notorious villains of our time.
The question is not if The Dark Knight is going to be a good film or not, but if Ledger can be the first to pull off a decent Joker onscreen? Can a dead guy win an Oscar?
And who plays Batman again? I forgot his name.
It will be almost impossible not to get wrapped up in the drama, so they may as well do as I said; Just show us clips of Heath Ledger's career set to some sad music, then let us all enjoy the film on DVD after the dust settles. July 18th is going to be more about Ledger than Bat-who?

your a douche.
that would be "YOU'RE a douche", idiot.
from the clips i've seen Ledger's Joker is mediocre at best. but yea.. even if his perfomance somehow turns out to be terrible, no one will admit it.
shut the fuck up until the movie comes out
mediocre at best huh, try not to mix this up with your bedroom performance "murderpunk" . from the trailers that I have seen MANY times i'd say Ledger is going to outshine Christian Bale, who plays Batman by the way "wildouble"
I agree with Mr. Bangsboll.
I'm not passing judgement until I see the film; although, I have been impressed by what I have seen of Ledger's performance.

You can read what Peter Travers said about the film since he works for Rolling Stone and alot of critics have already seen a pre-screening of it.
Watch it first before you complain because you were probably the same person who said Transformers wouldnt become a hit lol. If you want to look at Ledger soo badly with google image his name u have have your masterbations delight. Movie looks good from what i have read and seen ill decide like everyone should when they see it.
To quote Richard Corliss, Time magazine2007....with regards to the movie business:-
'Those that can, do........
Those that can't, critique'
This would sum up perfectly, your your childish and pointless review about my brother's film, except for one huge problem; you haven't seen the movie!
What exactly are you reviewing, then?
What the public's reaction to the Dark Knight might be?
Or, are you actually, cynically and cruelly, reviewing the filmmaker's tribute to Heath Ledger?
What would you prefer?
Not to pay homage to his last performance?
Not to say goodbye to a friend?
Why don't you wait and let people decide for themselves?
They American people don't need to be told by a cretin, like yourself, how they should feel when they watch an actor's last performance.
It will stand up on its own merits.
Without any help from members of the press like yourself.
OMG! Making the Joker look like The Crow was so fucking brilliant! I only hope they play some Slipknot or Pantera during the fight sequences!
As for you "Wildouble" - failing to say Heath Ledger's Joker will be anything short of phenomenal is the same as spitting on his grave! I hope you die you hateful cocksucking piece of shit!!
Wow, it's amazing how worked up people are getting over this movie they haven't even seen yet! Everyone seems so sure that Ledger is either "brilliant" or "overrated". I know some people think he should get an Oscar because he's dead but slow down a little bit on all the Oscar talk and flame wars.
Is that really you one that website? If so can you change it so when underage people get redirected it goes to 2snaps instead of Google?
i saw it, he was surprisingly good as the Joker. not Oscar worthy though. nothing to whip out your fanboy dick and jerk it over. but good. better than Nicholson (as if that says much). the Oscar talk is just out of pity for his death.
Thank you very much for correcting my my poor grammar. A simple mistake made in a heat of the moment reponse to an article writen by someone who feels obligated to hate on a deceased actor, who's work he hasn't actually seen. I could care less if you were right or wrong, but i do care about the lack of respect an article like this has for an actor who has recently passed away.
if there are any errors in this article, please, be sure to let me know.
