American Idol Top 7: Elimination

Well the judges finally used their "Gokey Save" tonight and bailed Matt Giraud out of elimination. They only had two more weeks to use it and with their final three , Allison, Gokey and Lambert, pretty safe from an early elimination it seemed like a smart move just to appease the chanting crowd.

Ultimately it was a waste of time since next week two contestants will be eliminated and Giraud will probably be going home anyway, but it was an exciting moment and makes next week a lot more interesting.

The other two contestants in the bottom three were, Anoop and Lil Rounds, leaving Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta wild cards in the Lamber/Gokey race. Since we have never dealt with a judges save before, I'm not sure if there will be any Idol War response from The Colonel Gary G tomorrow.
