American Idol Double Elimination Results

Two Idols went home tonight but it wasn't who went home that was surprising, it was who joined them in the bottom three that shocked me. Matt Giruad managed to bounce back after being saved from elimination, but the judges were probably wishing they had that save back when Seacrest announced that Allison Iraheta was in danger of going home.

Ryan wasted no time sending Lil Rounds home early in the night, but waited until the very end to send Iraheta and Anoop Desai to the loser chairs. It was of course announced that Anoop was eliminated and Allison was safe, but this marked her third trip to the bottom three, making it look like we may have a real sausagefest for a finale.

Allison is going to have to work hard to beat Kris, and maybe even Matt, as he may have discovered a second life in this competition.
