Here is a kick in the teeth for homosexuals, we won't allow them to get married but one church in Washington paid for two homeless people to wed. I think marriage should be between two people with a house, jobs and a checkbook...

Just kidding, it is sweet... I guess! Dante White, 28 -- who has been homeless since 14 -- wed the drug addict and alcoholic Nhiahni Chestnut, 39, at the Grace Episcopal Church in Washington's Georgetown neighborhood.

The two met on the streets and attended the Grace Episcopal Church bible study and free meal on Saturdays where White told the parishioner he wish he could afford to marry Chestnut.

Some chick named Margaret Davis said, "Everyone at the church feels strongly that you don't need to have money to get married. In good Grace church congregation fashion, everyone got behind the idea: one person managed flowers, I helped with the wedding rings, one woman made the cake, someone helped with the tux and someone else with the bride's gown..."

Someone even paid for the couple to stay at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Virginia for their honeymoon. Lets all hope that someone also gave them plenty of condoms as a wedding present because I have a feeling I'm going to making a homeless baby update in a few months.

Wanda Sykes surprised a crowd at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, when she stopped by unannounced to mention that she is a lesbian. Sykes said she felt "attacked" when Prop 8 was passed and addressed the crowd:

"You know, I don't really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life. Everybody that knows me personally they know I'm gay. But that's the way people should be able to live their lives. Now, I gotta get in their face. I'm proud to be a woman. I'm proud to be a black woman, and I'm proud to be gay."

I'm a William Shatner fan. I am, I love the guy. He hosted that Full Moon Fright Night on the Sci-Fi channel and he was friggen hilarious on The Fresh Prince, but he is a notorious asshole, who has been rumored to treat his Star Trek co-stars like dirt.

I'm also a George Takei fan. He was hilarious when he co-hosted the Howard Stern Show, he is gay and he is asian. Takei is also known for being a very nice man. So it is not a surprise he handled Shatner's latest hissy fit with such class.

The Associated Press reports that Shatner "lashed out at Takei for not inviting him to his wedding last month" via a video posted on his website (watch below). The Enterprise Captain claims Sulu "harbors a grudge against him."

"The whole thing makes me feel badly," Shatner said in the video. "Poor man. There is such a sickness there. It's so patently obvious that there is a psychosis there. I don't know what his original thing about me was. I have no idea."

Like I said Takei probably has a few reasons to harbor a grudge, but unlike Shatner he doesn't, and claims he did indeed invite him to his wedding.

A rep for Takei confirmed the invite, and Takei said in a statement: "It is unfortunate that Bill was unable to join us for our wedding as he indeed was invited to attend It is our hope that at this point he joins us in voting no on Proposition 8, which seeks to eliminate the fundamental right for same-sex couples to marry in California."

Brad Pitt likes gays and there is enough money to go around for black babies and gay marriage...Yay! Pitt donated $100,000 to support gay marriage and to fight the dreaded Proposition 8. "An initiative on California’s November ballot that would overturn the state Supreme Court decision to legalize same-sex marriage," The Associated Press' words not mine.

Pitt said in a statement: , “Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8."

Piit and Angelina also recently announced that they donated $2 million to help fight H.I.V./AIDS in Ethiopia...Yay!

Sucks that George Takei had to wait until he was 71 to marry longtime boyfriend Brad Altman, that just seems like such an old age to have to get married at. He could die any minute and then Altman would inherit all his Star Trek money, but Takei wouldn't mind because he loves him.

Mr Sulu, who has been dating his boyfriend for 21-years, wrote on his website that the couple is trying to decide on where to get married calling it a, "delicious dilemma," he added We can have the dignity, as well as all the responsibilities, of marriage. We embrace it all heartily."

Besides his career on Star Trek Takei has appeared in hundreds of TV shows, had a hilarious "guest announcer" spot on the Howard Stern Show and recently has been on the popular TV show Heroes.

Takei added about his relationship: "We've worked in partnership; he manages the business side of my career and I do the performing. We've travelled the world together from Europe to Asia to Australia. We've shared the good times as well as struggled through the bad. He helped me care for my ailing mother who lived with us for the last years of her life. He is my love and I can't imagine life without him."

Takei is lucky to have found someone who loves him so deeply because everyone knows gay people rarely like other asian men.

While the entire middle of the U.S.A. is probably down on their knees praying that California falls into the ocean right now, I am very proud of my home state. I am of course talking about the California Supreme Court striking down the law that bans gay marriage.

Even though TIME reports that the ruling will not win homosexuals all the rights of marriage, it sure seems like a step in the right direction.
